On the Monday night of the Erasmus exchange week at St Ciarán’s, the first night of the week that the Polish and Italian students spent in Ireland, St Ciarán’s hosted an Irish food and culture night in the school. The students came into the school in the evening where in the canteen a variety of Irish foods were being served, such as homemade brown bread and traditional Irish stew. The Polish and Italian students really enjoyed sampling these Irish foods as it gave them an opportunity to try a few of Irelands classic dishes! After eating, we went to the school hall where a ceilí led by Ms. NÍ Muruchú took place. The students performed the dance “The Walls of Limerick” which they had learned during the day. They also performed famous Italian and Polish dances. Great fun was had and the night was enjoyed by all!
